Any hope of this coming on Mac or on a browser? I'm a technology teacher who would love to use this!
A downloadable game for Windows, Linux, and Android
Roly-Polo it's a fast and fun sport videogame for up to four players.
It's available for Windows, Linux, Ouya and Android, it has support for gamepads, keyboard, and touchscreen, you can download the FREE DEMO and try it out.
In the game you control a PillBugBear (or a pair of them if you chose Twins-Mode), to win you have to score 15 points by throwing the purple ball thought the ring goals.
The controllers have an auto throw to goal aid that you can turn On and Off on the options menu, also options for twin-mode, and the number of A.I. players that you want to play with.
It's local-multiplayer against friends or CPU controlled players, and doesn't have any online mode but it can be played online using streaming software like PARSEC (https://parsecgaming.com/) or Remote Play Detached (https://github.com/smaTc/RemotePlayDetached).
By the time of release it comes with 8 hand-made stages that are selected one after the other in semi-random order for non-stop fun, and more will be added in the near future.
I made a Discord to help people find people to play online using the streaming software or talk about the game: https://discord.gg/tVUHz8NQ

Hello, at the moment I don't have a Mac at hand and most of the times it's needed to create a and test a Mac version, I think the Windows version could work on Mac using Wine or a similar software.
A browser version can be created but I liked the extra control I had when making it an executable, maybe in the future I could try and make a Mac or browser version, but if you can give Wine a try on Mac and give me feedback about it I would appreciate it.
When I tried to install it on my Android device, it was flagged as malware.
Hi, it's because it's from an unknown source (not Google Play), by default Android devices don't trust APKs from unknown sources and tell you it can be malware, but in this case it's not.
For some reason it isn't working on Android 12 :/ (on my Snapdragon S20 FE)
When starting the game it just flashes a white screen and crashes
Hello, sorry for the very late reply, I was trying to solve the issue with Android 12, but looks like to much has changed from 11 to 12 and the software I'm using to export the Android version doesn't have (yet) support for Android 12.
I tried some workarounds but wasn't successful, this was made with Ouya (Android 4.1) as the main Android target and works fine up to Android 11, it's also available for Windows and Linux and will check for newer version of Android when the exporter add support for them, sorry for not being able to solve this issue but hope you can check the game on other device and hopefully enjoy it with some friends.
Hello again, I got myself an Android 12 phone, installed current APK (no changes) and it worked without issues, maybe someone changed something on Android 12 in the last months, or it's something specific for some devices.
mega cute art style, but unfortunately flickers. Might be because I have widescreen.
Hello, how wide is your screen?
The game screen adjust to cover all the screen available without any deformation, the optimal screen ratio is 16:9 (for example 1280x720), I tested with more wider ratios without issues but due to the way the infinite scroll is programed it flickers on very widescreen configurations (like 2 or 3 screen setups).
If you give me some feedback on how wide your screen is I can look up for a solution (maybe I could add black bars on the side of the very wide screens...).
My screen is 3840x1600. Black bars could help. I can totally see how otherwise for your type of game the infinite scroll starts to flicker on such screens.
I'm checking and it's wide but it's not wider enough to cause problems with the infinite scroll, for the scroll to break it requires a screen ratio of almost as wide as 3:1, I'm testing here and it should work fine with your screen size.
Maybe it's related to other thing like the graphic card not being able to refresh a big screen on the required rate on the canvas object, you can try lowering the resolution and checking if that solves it, are you playing on the Ouya (or other android device) or in Windows or Linux?
Playing in windows, but my graphic card could definitely be the problem, it is fairly old. If it helps, I could try and create a video and send it to you.
